We want to share with you our love of motor homing at a great place, still in touch with nature and yet close to Ocala and Gainesville Florida. Williston Florida is a small town population of approximately 2500. In the 1940's Williston could boast of a large Air Force Base with cross roads leading in all four directions of Florida.

We came to Williston looking for a "plot of land" to construct a dwelling and Motor Home Port for our motor home. From that first year or so we knew this would be the perfect place for a RV Park like no other and would be a great gift to share with RV'ers.

The resort started with many sketches and ideas over six years ago, then construction started a year later. Work began at the north end of the project near our main gate. After approximately a year and half, we knew the progress was too slow to complete the sites and the town all at the same time; so we moved to the south end and worked back toward the town section. By changing our scope of work, we had more time to create more things throughout the park that our guests could enjoy. We are adding a water fall, a fish lagoon, an additional recreation building, an open air pavilion, a large pool area plus log cabins for those who do not have RV's.

Many things have changed over the past six years, many setbacks have occurred. There was a lot of red tape to go through and it took two years to get all of our permits. We started construction with the first permit for site work only, this was a big step, the other permits we needed could have been declined and construction would have been stopped.

The weather has played a large part in the delays of construction with the worst hurricane season I know of and rain and more rain in 2004 & 2005. During all the weather conditions the City of Williston has been most gracious to assist us in any way they could and a real help during the hurricanes of 2004. They came and put power poles every day they could between keeping power on for the community and removing downed trees from the power lines. Many times we could only work a couple of days during the week. And if that was not enough materials became a real shortage during the storm season.

I think through it all, the end justifies the means.

We invite you to come, stay with us and share our resort in Williston, Florida.
